NB: World Emergency Relief has no bond places left for the 2010 Virgin London Marathon, but we are still welcoming ballot place runners to the team.

Of course if you are really looking to plan ahead you can register your interest now for one of our places for 2011!

With over 700,000 runners having taken part since it began, the London Marathon is the world's biggest fundraising event. For many runners, crossing the finishing line of the London Marathon will be their greatest achievement and even for repeat runners, the sense of achievement remains unbeatable.

Running for World Emergency Relief crowns your achievement with the knowledge that you are transforming the lives and futures of children across the world.

As a WER runner you will receive:

  • A WER running vest.
  • Personalised sponsorship forms and help setting up online fundraising (usually JustGiving but it's your choice). We can even include a specific target to get you and your donors motivated. Click here for examples.
  • A dedicated events team to keep you motivated and cheer for you on the day.
  • Regular marathon team e-news letter to which you can contribute.
  • Costume loan - if running the marathon is not challenging enough, try it dressed as a chicken!
  • Marathon after-party with free massage.
