Bank of America Chicago Marathon 2009
Go the distance this Breast Cancer Awareness Month
As well as being famous for the Sears Tower, Deep Pan Pizzas and all that jazz, Chicago is also home to one of the world’s biggest and best marathons! The route is a fast, flat course that takes in 15 of the city’s diverse neighbourhoods, its landmarks and cultures, but this year the date is just as important as the race. This year, the marathon is in October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM).
By joining Breast Cancer Campaign’s first ever Chicago team, you will be raising money for vital research during the Charity’s most important fundraising month. Each year nearly 44,000 women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer, which means that this October 3,600 women in the UK will find out that they have breast cancer. Help us reduce this number by pledging to raise a minimum sponsorship of £1,500 to continue researching the cure for breast cancer.
Please note that in order to keep our costs low we ask all runners to arrange and pay for their own travel and accommodation.
