Thank you for visiting Bowel Cancer UK, we look forward to making the Flora London Marathon 2009 special for you. We would love for you to join the team whether it is your first time or you are a veteran of the Flora London Marathon.
We have guaranteed places if you need one or if you have secured your own place then we would be honoured to see you pull on the blue and white vest and support us.
Why support Bowel Cancer UK?
A few things you may or may not know….
- Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the country, but people often find it a difficult topic to talk about
- Every year over 35,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer – someone every 15 minutes
- Every year just under 16,000 people die from bowel cancer – someone every 30 minutes
The good news is that bowel cancer is highly treatable if diagnosed early. So join our team and help us spread the word!
How we will support you:
We know that the Flora London Marathon is a big undertaking and we will be there every step of the way to support you. We will supply:
- A fundraising pack with loads of ideas and support from our events team
- A quality running vest with your name printed on it
- Training support and a training day
- Plenty of support from our cheering points on the course
- Post-race reception with refreshments and a massage
