Virgin London Marathon 2010

Help us to Save Lives in 2010 – Join our London Marathon Team

Bowel cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK and more than 16,000 people die from the disease each year; that's someone every 30 minutes. But if diagnosed at the earliest stage, bowel cancer is highly treatable, with a survival rate of more than 80% over five years. That is why Bowel Cancer UK is encouraging people to recognise the symptoms of the disease and act on their concerns so they have the best chance of survival.

Our Gold Bond Places are all now full - Run for us with your Own Place

We are only allocated a small number of gold bond places in the London Marathon so we need runners who were successful in the public ballot to join our team to help us raise as much as we can. Use your own ballot place to run for Bowel Cancer UK and help us to save lives by raising awareness of bowel cancer, campaigning for best treatment and care and providing practical support and advice.

We’ll support you from Start to Finish

Join our London Marathon team with your own place and our experienced events team will support you every step of the way with your fundraising and training. We’ll send you a pack including sponsorship forms, fundraising ideas and your very own Bowel Cancer UK running vest and you’ll have access to our online training zone.

Set your own fundraising target and we’ll get you there, as well as cheering you on around the course on marathon day and looking after you at our post race reception where there’ll be food and sports massage to make you feel human again!
