Flora London Marathon
The Flora London Marathon is one of the world’s most famous races of this distance and if you are thinking about running a marathon then look no further. The Flora London Marathon is a fantastic day out for both participants and spectators and as the event sports one of the largest fields of charity runners there is always plenty of fun to be had!
Interested in being part of Breakthrough’s team in the 2009 Flora London Marathon? There are two ways you can apply for a place:
- We would encourage anyone interested in running for Breakthrough to initially apply through the ballot at www.london-marathon.co.uk. Ballot entries reopen on Monday 21 April and will close as soon as 35,000 online entries and 5,000 paper entries have been received. Results of the ballot will be announced in late September and if you are successful in gaining a place this way we would be delighted if you use it to support Breakthrough.
- Breakthrough has a limited number of Golden Bond places available for those people who are unsuccessful in securing a place through the ballot. To apply for one of these places we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £2000 in sponsorship.
All Breakthrough runners will receive:

- Voucher for a Free Biomechanical Analysis at Sport Dimensions
