Bank of America Chicago Marathon

11 October 2009

Background:

Since its inaugural running in 1977, The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon has developed a global reputation for its fast, record-setting course. Year after year The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon hosts representatives from more than 120 countries and all 50 of the United States to compete on this world stage. Elite runners compete for a portion of $650,000, the largest prize purse in the sport, while the flat, city landscape and cool, fall climate combine to provide the best backdrop for posting records – personal, national and world. It is a loop course, starting and finishing within a few hundred metres of the city centre and main hotels.

Be part of Health Unlimited's Chicago marathon team and help raise valuable funds for vulnerable and marginalised communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

We guarantee that:

  • You will really make a difference by raising funds for remote communities who have been neglected by their own government and virtually everyone else and have no one else to turn to.
  • Your money will go a long way… For every pound you raise, 93p is invested in supporting these communities.

We provide:

  • Running vest
  • Fundraising pack
  • The opportunity to raise funds for some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities in the world.
  • To secure a place with Health Unlimited in any of these marathons abroad all we ask is that you raise a minimum of £1,000 in sponsorship. You won't be tied in to any tour operators so you're free to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements. You can then make your stay in Chicago as long or as short as you wish...
