The course
In its 31st year, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon remains an incredible achievement for beginners and elite runners alike. The runners will be encouraged by the 1.2 million cheering spectators along the 26.2-mile course, which winds through 15 Chicago neighbourhoods. The race starts and finishes in Grant park on Columbus Drive , near Buckingham Fountain and passes dozens of landmarks, such as the famed Sears Tower.
