BUPA Great North Run 2008

This running event starts in Newcastle and finishes on the coast in South Shields. It is now Britain's largest mass participation event and the world's biggest half marathon. A favorite in the running calendar, the 2008 BUPA Great North Run will see 45,000 people taking part.

If you have been successful in gaining your own place, we would be delighted to have you join JDRF Team Pingu (the loveable penguin from the Antarctic will be JDRF’s team mascot).

If not, do not despair, JDRF has guaranteed entries available. All we ask is that you commit to raising a minimum of £375.

The historic naval city of Portsmouth is the backdrop to Britain’s biggest and most popular 10 mile road running event. The fast, flat course through the streets and seafront of Portsmouth is ideal for both elite and fun runners.
