Cycle London to Paris 2008
26th – 29th September 2008
Registration Fee: £99
Minimum sponsorship: £1,000
This long weekend challenge links two great European cities, London and Paris, covering around 300km in just three days.
The ride sets off through the streets of south London and then on to undulating countryside towards the south coast, heading towards the port of Newhaven to board the ferry to Dieppe, arriving that same evening. The next day the route from Dieppe passes through sleepy Normandy villages to Beauvais with some challenging hills to conquer along the way. As the course approaches Paris on day three, the surroundings become more urban. The city centre is reached via its most famous park, the Bois de Boulogne. From there it's just a couple of kilometers along wide Parisian boulevards to the city's most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower and the finish line. Why not register now?!

Sky Diving
Jumps take place throughout the UK
Christine Hendy, JDRF's first parachute jumper
"I DID IT!!! It was a 12,000ft jump and the most exhilarating experience of my life. Everyone at the airfield was fantastic and made me feel very welcome. If there is one thing that you think of doing in your life you have to try this. Totally amazing."
Fulfill your dreams with an exhilarating 10,000 feet freefall parachute jump.
Imagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10,000 feet - the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below.
Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go - falling forward into the clouds, diving down through the air as you start freefalling at over 120mph. Then imagine the peace and quiet as the canopy opens, the steering toggles come down either side of you and you begin a tranquil parachute descent from a mile up in the air, steering yourself back down to the centre of the drop zone below.
Well you can stop imagining because it's real and you can do it at an airfield near you for JDRF.
So whether it’s a solo, tandem or even an accelerated freefall jump, there is no doubt that it will be one of the most exhilarating experiences in your lifetime.
Live the dream.
