Edinburgh Marathon

This year Kidney Research UK was proud to be one of the official charities of the Edinburgh Marathon 2008. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of you who took part in the event on our behalf. Your support will help give a brighter future to the three million people in the UK whose lives are under threat from chronic kidney disease.

The Edinburgh Marathon is one of the fastest growing marathons in the world, and with a course that passes an ancient castle, a beautiful coastline, an extinct volcano and a royal palace, this is one of the most prestigious marathons in the world.

Entries are not yet open for the 2009 Edinburgh Marathon, but if you would like information on running for Kidney Research UK please contact events@kidneyresearchuk.org or telephone 08456 12 12 26, and we will put you on our mailing list to receive information once it is available.

You can either take on the 26.2 miles solo, or four people can run as part of the Hairy Haggis Team Relay, and split the marathon distance between them, so you get the atmosphere of a full marathon, whilst only running part of it!
