Run for MACS

MACS - The Micro and Anophthalmic Children’s Charity is a registered charity offering support and information to parents and professionals in the UK and around the world.

MACS was formed in 1993 by a group of parents with affected children. Until then, most of them didn't know of any other children like their own.

It was the Observer Sunday newspaper that found all of these families whilst investigating the possible link between these eye conditions and commonly used pesticides. The newspaper put the families in touch with each other and MACS was formed.

By running for MACS you will be helping us to:

  • Put families in touch with others in similar circumstances
    to their own.
  • Bring families from all over Britain together for our annual
    family weekend.
  • Produce literature and information booklets for parents and professionals about our children's rare conditions.
  • Ensure that our charity survives for the benefit of the children
    and families that we serve.
  • Send out our newsletters to families all over the world.

Run for MACS and give some light to a
child born into darkness
