Bupa Great North Run
Help beat meningitis and septicaemia by running for Meningitis Research Foundation in the Bupa Great North Run on Sunday 5 October.
The Bupa Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world. With over 47,000 runners, it has an atmosphere that is like no other. Make the most of your race experience by running for Meningitis Research Foundation.
We have guaranteed places available and we also welcome applications from runners with their own place. Please note that our charity places are allocated on a first come, first served basis so book early to avoid disappointment.
By competing in the Bupa Great North Run for Meningitis Research Foundation you will be helping the charity tackle meningitis and septicaemia - diseases that still claim hundreds of lives each year and particularly affect the under-fives.
All our runners will receive a full sponsorship pack including:
- Sponsorship forms
- A Meningitis Research Foundation running vest
- Training hints and tips
- Fundraising ideas to help in raising sponsorship
- Information on the work of Meningitis Research Foundation
We also provide all our runners with drinks and snacks in our marquee at the end of the race. It's a great opportunity to refuel and meet your fellow runners and representatives from the charity. We can also take your photo so you can prove to all your friends and supporters that you made it!
