If you are you looking for a challenge to remember, then enter the world’s most popular and biggest half marathon on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Each year we build up a team of over 200 runners who run for the charity with pride.
Between 13 miles from Newcastle to South Shields you’ll be embraced by the celebrations and support of the race. As you cross that finish line we’ll be waiting to greet and thank you at our post-race hospitality marquee for drinks, snacks and some reviving sports therapy. Our regular volunteer physiotherapists work tirelessly to sooth your aches as they understand the effort and sacrifice you have made for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
We are looking for dedicated runners that can take on the challenge of this half marathon, and pledge to raise £300 that will be used to pioneer the search for cures and treatments for these devastating muscle wasting conditions. We depend almost entirely on the generosity of our supporters. So your help really is vital.
