Bupa London 10 000 – 2009
Be part of the Bupa London 10 000 - a stunning 10k race starting and finishing in the beautiful leafy grounds of St James’s Park.
Taking place on Spring Bank Holiday Weekend, this is a unique new race that will follow part of the Olympic Marathon route that will be used in 2012 games. Following an anti-clockwise route through the City of Westminster and the City of London, you will pass many spectacular sights including Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column and Buckingham Palace.
NCH has a number of places and is looking for special individuals and teams to take part.
NCH helps children and young people achieve their full potential. Through our services we support 178,000 of the most vulnerable and excluded children, young people and their families in the UK. By running for NCH and raising a minimum sponsorship of £300, you will help to make a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable and deprived children in the UK. Your £300 sponsorship could be used to:
- keep a young homeless person in supported lodgings for a month
- pay for 10 disabled children to have a swimming and hydrotherapy session AND pay for a disabled child to spend a weekend with an NCH family link carer, so that their own family can have a break
- pay for six young carers to take part in a summer holiday activity scheme
