Growing strong....running strong
Running is all about determination. It’s about having the self-belief to push yourself a little further. It’s about being prepared, recognising your potential and being strong enough to face the challenges that lie ahead.
But it’s not just running that demands all this – life does too. At NCH we help the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people to develop the determination, self-belief and inner strength they need to overcome the difficulties that life throws up.
Through almost 500 individual services, we change the lives of over 178,000 children, young people and their families across the UK, who face hardships such as poverty, disability and abuse.

We can’t change what has happened to these children in the past. Sometimes we can’t change the circumstances that they live in. But we can help them to develop the emotional wellbeing they need to face the future.
‘Lily’s confidence increases with every visit. She gets chance to do things for herself and has become more self-reliant. They know the areas she struggles with and encourage her’
