End Cruelty to Children
FULL STOP.
The NSPCC is the UK's leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children. We have been directly involved in protecting children and campaigning on their behalf since 1884.

Our work to end cruelty to children includes:
- 180 community-based teams and projects throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- A free, 24-hour Child Protection Helpline that provides information, advice and counselling to anyone concerned about a child's safety.
- Public education campaigns, to increase understanding about child abuse and provide advice and support on positive parenting.
- Parliamentary campaigning to persuade government, Parliament and opinion-formers to put children's issues at the top of the political agenda.
- Child protection training and advice for organisations involved in the care, protection and education of children.
- Research into the nature and effects of child abuse.
- Information resources on child protection and related topics for professionals, the press and the general public.
- Fundraising through individual and corporate supporters.
Unfortunately the below statistics are REAL and we need your support to help us make a difference.
- Each week at least one child in the UK is killed by their parent or carer.
- Over 30,000 children are on child protection registers.
- The 24-hour NSPCC Child Protection Helpline answers 235 calls on an average day.
Help put a stop to child cruelty – FULL STOP.
Every step you take and every penny you raise will help us towards ending the cruelty to children within the UK.
You too can make a difference. No matter what distance you can run, how much you can raise, if we all work together we can work towards a future where every child is loved and given the chance to reach their full potential.
