NWAA

WELCOME

North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) is a registered charity and receives no mainstream funding. It relies totally on the generosity of the people and businesses throughout the region to raise the £1.9 million per year needed to keep it airborne.

NWAA was launched in May 1999 and covers 5,500 square miles of the region including Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and Cheshire, serving a residential population of 7.5 million people. The aircraft is on call 7 days per week 52 weeks in the year and flies on average 800 – 900 missions which can range from RTC's, industrial incidents and incidents that have poor and restricted road access. Whilst the incidents vary greatly, there are two overriding factors for the NWAA's presence - either because time is crucial or where road access is limited.

We really need your help to meet these challenges and we will be here to support you throughout your chosen activity.
