If you're running your first marathon or are a seasoned marathon runner looking for a quick time or personal best, then the Berlin Marathon is just the ticket, as it's an extremely flat and fast course.

This is one of the most attractive races in the world, with more than its fair share of historic sights lining the route. The course starts and finishes next to one of the capital’s most famous landmarks – the Brandenburg Gate – and takes a route via many more notable spots such as the Reichstag and Berliner Dom. More than 40,000 runners take part in the race every year, and are cheered on by more than a million spectators lining the course.
