Every six hours in the UK a child is born with Cerebral Palsy – that's one in 400 births – making cp the most common cause of childhood physical disability. Scope is the national disability organisation whose focus is people with cerebral palsy, a physical condition that affects movement. Scope's services include creating early years, education, independent living and employment opportunities for disabled people.

"I find it hard to meet people other than those who themselves have problems, or care for disabled people. If only people would look past my disability, my wheelchair, my crutches, they'd realise I'm just like them, and that I have needs and feelings, too."

Scope's mission is to drive the change to make our society the first where disabled people achieve equality. Help Scope to help disabled people run their own lives by joining Team Scope in a running, trekking, cycling or skiing event!
