Run for Mind in Berlin!

New for 2007, the real,- BERLIN-MARATHON gives you the chance to run on this fantastic world record breaking course. It is fast and flat so ideal for smashing your personal best!! The run takes in the major attractions of this fantastic city including the Charlottenburg Castle and the grand historical architecture that line the streets of Berlin - the perfect distraction to your aching muscles!

With a large and enthusiastic crowd and music at 60 points along the course, you can be sure that the atmosphere is second to none. The race culminates in an emotional finish passing through the famous Brandenburg Gate, marking entry in to the former socialist East Berlin. This is an experience you will never forget!!

Last year Marathon runners raised over £100,000 for the charity. Mind aims to beat this figure this year with the help and commitment of people like Janet and Brian Lawrence whose 26-year-old son Jimmi died in 2004.

Janet said “I used running to make me feel better in the dark days following Jimmi’s death. It seemed appropriate to raise money for the charity at the same time.” “Knowing Jimmi he’ll be watching me on the day in fits of laughter just hoping I trip up!”
