CONGRATULATIONS GB!!!!

The women's squad faced Slovakia yesterday in the first round of the World Championship Qualifiers in Poland and after a thrilling game that was neck and neck all the way, clinched in the final seconds with a goal from Kathryn Fudge!

This is the best international result the squad has ever had as Slovakia were one of the favourites to win our group. Well done GB-it shows that we are definitely on the right track for 2012!!

Great Job!

Today sees GB face Cyprus in which they look to build upon the fantastic result of yesterday! :D

  For the next couple of months we have a quiet period with the national team as it is the key part of the club season. During this time we will be planning ad organising our return to the UK in 2011. We hope that as a team we are able to live and play together in London from May next year which would give us a whole year of training with each other everyday. This would be a massive advantage for the development of our team. This would also allow us to use the Olympic venue for training prior to the Games, so that it really wll be a home advantage. This idea is starting to take shape as Crystal Palace have agreed to be our training venue, but as you can imagine moving 15-20 players from clubs all over Europe to the UK for a year takes some organising! It is a very very exciting time for the project and we can't wait to see hat next year will bring! :)

  That's brilliant that you'll get to practice at the Olympic venue! I am so excited about the 2012 Olympics- it'll be great if we can come out of it with some golds!!
