Finished in 5hrs46 mins... with 3 medical stops and having to do some wierd limp/walk drag my leg from mile 19.. absolute agony so I am happy with that! - Bring on next year!! Chances of me getting a ballot place though are probs quite slim!!
Hope you all did well! x

    • reenee_62 'I'm thinking my hip may fail me before the finish, i'd like to think i could make the end ok, people say you can damage yourself for life going thru pain. I missed over a months training, have run some the couple weeks. As i've been told, we can grit our teeth when it gets tough a keep going. Just try really! good luck' 1 month, 1 week ago

Toally gutted... was up to 17 miles so comfortably and have now got an I T band injury.... totally prevents from me running as my knee just goes stiff and painful... have been advised to lay off the running until the big day and just do swimming and stretches and use a foam roller to recover... Physio thinks if i do this then i will be fine for the MArathon but just dont get to do my last big run or tapering.. scared my body is going to forget all its training :(

    • Dave_Morgan98 'You'll be fine . . . I felt the onset of a tight IT band last week and gave it plenty of roller attention 3 times a day for a few days and that got me round my 22 miler yesterday. I'm off to see my physio this week to see if he can loosen me up some more before I do any longer term damage. Your legs shouldn't forget all the work you've put in upto now, but you just might have to scale back your original target time a bit.' 2 months ago

    • Sally_F 'Thansk for Dave... i have used the roller for the past 5 days now and it definately is helping... but i think i left the damage for too long before treaing it so hence why it may take time.... also have 2 therepy sessions booked in before hand... but yes think my traget time may now have to change! • kazza72 'Tiger balm come in two strength, Its very similar to vick vapour rub the stronger one having clove oil in it (red). Just a warning make sure you wash your hand after you have applied it. not good if you get it near your eyes.' 3 months ago
