I lack motivation!!!
I didn't even go for a run last weekend and ths weekend I kept thinking of excuses.....so much to do in the house, too tired, too much revision to do...etc etc.
Anyway I finally thought I HAD to get out (mainly because it was cold and I thought a run would warm me up!) Once got out it was brilliant and I felt like Forrest Gump!! Could have run for ages. I just did 45 minutes so about 4.5 to 5 miles. I felt great afterwards but still the thought of doing it again doesn't appeal.
How do I motivate myself to keep getting out there week after week without it seeming like a chore??
Any tips?

SazzleB 'How did you keep fit when pregnant??? My midwife told me to stop running :( so I didn't run from 8 weeks preggo. I still walked 3 miles a day and went to the occasional aque-natal class, which I think helped my general fitness. I would have loved to have done some yoga though.' 3 months, 3 weeks ago

runningmumof3boys 'Ok you have my sympathys. As a mum of 3 I've been there (had surgery after number 3so I'm like a teenager "down there" now though ) but I was told by my midwife to do them when doing random things like waiting for the kettle to boil. Whenever your in supermarket queue etc ( its surprising how often you put kettle on or stand in a queue ) I'm a pilates teacher and when we use pelvic flood in class I always say to release it as slowly as you lift it (so try and avoid squeeze and then DROP) if that makes sense. But if your problem is that severe your only 37 if you are done having kids you are a good candidate for surgery we girls shouldn't have to resort to tenas at our age (I'm also 37) ' 3 months ago
SazzleB 'Thanks - I'll try the slow squeeze and release as I defo squeeze and drop. Does stopping 'mid wee' help too? I really don't want to have surgery but if it doesn't improve I might consider it. It never happens any other time, only when running due to the impact but I go to the loo twice before a run and don't drink before or after a run (which is annoying as I like to take a drink with me). Thanks for the help though - I will keep the group posted on my progress!!' 3 months ago
runningmumof3boys 'oooh im pretty sure that stopping mid wee is "frowned upon" now something to do with risk of infection??? but dont quote me on that! (if you can stop mid wee then you are lucky haha since my op my bladder only has an on and off switch and it only turns off once empty lol TMI) men are blessed!' 3 months ago
