Fantastic 12.7 mile run in 1 hour 52; was aiming for 12 in 2 hours to tick the box in my plan but ended up doing a little bit more... Started with a circuit of Hyde Park then down past Buckingham Palace, Big Ben (as the sun set behind it), along the South Bank, quick loop back to Charing Cross to pick up Jem, then Andy at the Old Vic, and back through Peckham (love the old canal path), New Cross, Deptford (took a wrong turn!) and Lewisham. I could have kept running but my train was due in! Gave me a real boost as it's my first run pushing the limit of what I've done recently and it was very easy... On the run we also worked out a strategy for dealing with Third World Debt, so very productive all round!

Here's a quick summary of my training since finding out I'd got the place...
12th January - 6 miles - Canary Wharf to New Cross via Tower Bridge with Jem and Andy
13th January - 7 miles - Brockley to London Bridge - London looked beautiful in the falling snow
15th January - 6 miles - Canary Wharf to Greenwich Park - and back again!
18th January - 6 miles - Catford to Canary Wharf
19th January - 6 miles - Canary Wharf to New Cross via Tower Bridge with Jem and Andy
20th January - 3.7 miles speedwork - Canary Wharf to Lewisham, felt a bit silly sprinting through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel
22nd January - 9 miles in 1 hour 17 minutes - Hayes to Greenwich, brilliant to have my GPS watch back from the menders!
