  @Karen65 hi karen irene here i had shin splints also very sore. i was told total rest from running and plenty of massage not what i wanted to hear when i was in training for the flm. but i took the advice even though i didnt like it . i have rested up for a week or so now and massage twice a day every day even though i hate it. i got a large swelling on my lover right shin and even when sitting it was hard to lift my foot. the swelling is gone down a lot and my legs do feel a lot better. i am going to start slowly again with my training tomorrow just walking will let you know how i do.
