i did it! i have reached the 20 milestone! well i did 21 miles + a bit!
on sunday i got up at 7.00 am feeling very anxious about my longets run, i got up had a cuppa some porridge with honey, got ready, and then drove to pitsford lake, i set off at 8.33 am, i got not even half way round when i decided to be cheeky and go for a whizz in the bushes! BIG MISTAKE! i got caught up in stinging nettles and brambles! then i lost the path, and had to go through a swamp to get back on track, and when i looked down i noticed i was cut to shreads and sting all over my legs!
not a great start, and i felt all sulky about it too! but i plodded along, i did thee first lap in 1hr 10mins i stopped at my car to change my drinks and take my jumper of.
i took a gel pouch at mile 10 and i did feel a burst of energy. the weather was beautiful, but the nats were a nightmare there was millions of the dam things, and 3 of them went into my eye!
there was plenty of runners out today.
i did my 2nd lap! and i really did not fancy running around it for the 3rd time + i could see my car in the distance! which was a bit of a tease!
but i did it and when i got to mile 19/20 i felt like screaming and cheering! i am so proud of myself! i did it! YES!!!!!!!

well toe is feeling better! & found out hilly socks are NOT for me! i paid bloody £9.00 for one pair! shite!!!!
so im sticking to my good ole socks!
deid 15miles yesterday and my ipod went dead 5 mins into my run, so that was fun... not! its the first time ive ever ran that far without music, and i was bored and lonely, but it gave me time to think about stuff.
i did 3 miles today my "recovery run " although after running 15miles yesterday, my legs are really tight and running 3 was the last thing my tired legs wanted,
all i want now is a full body massage!

i braved a run today, i did a four miler, just to ease into it again! and my god my toe hurts!
im very worried about it not recovering in time for the big one!
what am i going to do if it dont?
im such a girl when it comes to pain!!!
the weather is getting beautiful now, and i am seeing more runners on my travels.
but i just think about the extreme weather conditions i have braved on my runs, and i think it has made me a stronger runner, not like these bloody seasonal runners! xx

i did the silverstone half marathon yesterday! i did it in 2hrs 14mins 27 secs! and i did it on several injurys!
i went out on the friday (the 13th!) with a load of mates and some drunken moron fell into me, stomping on the back of my leg, which then made me fall into a table and banged my knee, i was in terrible pain that night and on the saturday morning i looked at the damage, my knee was badly swollen and the back of my leg was very bruised, i was in tears beacuse i thought there was no chance i would make it!
but the more i thought of backing out the more determined i was to run, just despite the pratt that did this too me!
i have my medal, and i was so proud i did it!
but it has made very nervous abot the big one in april!
but have 6 weeks left to recover and train.
fingers crossed x

i went to wales for the weekend, and had a lovely 15 mile run in the mountains!
it was great fun, i started in harlech to talsanu then back throung the mountains of harlech, were i was chased by 2 sheepdogs! luckly the were in the fields with barb wire seperating us! then a group of cows were very intertested in me a few fields further, and they started to run aside me! i saw a tiny baby lamb with its mother having a cuddle, then after a steep hill, and had the most beautiful ocean view, that made the journey worth every pain staking minute!
i then continued through harlech town, thendown a very big hill, my knees were killing me, i had to dive into a ditch up the mountain because of a tractor taking up the whole road, i think i twisted my ankle which then triggered my knee to hurt.
anyway after the hill, i went on the beach, by then it was very windy and cold, and the snot was pouring from my nose!
i looked very attractive...as you can imagine!
but all in all a very successful run, im very pleased with myself, and after looking at the mountain that i climbed, i was amazed of how determined i am!

im starting to think about my kit for the marathon day,
i need new socks, a good sports bra and some new trainners.
this marathon is getting bloody expensive, ive just had to fork out £380 on my hotel for the weekend!

training is going well, im so glad the spring is nearing, the cold weather really got to me, the snow was terrible, it affected my trainning badly, i could'nt go to the gym for days!
i tried running in it, i did it though!
and i ran 15 miles in the ice the furthest i have ever ran so far!!
but my legs were killing me after that!!
but all is well! x
