Gym Session 6 - felt surprisi...

So, after a three week break due to the birth of daughter number 3, today I returned to the gym. I was expecting to feel very bad indeed but was prepared to tough it out, however I was pleased to find that I actually felt a lot better than expected. I g...

New addition!

It's a girl! All happy, healthy and doing well. 10 days old now.  Been struggling to fit in any fitness time for obvious reasons. Back to gym tomorrow. May be a struggle!

Gym Session 5 - new rowing re...

Took 11 seconds off my 2km rowing record this evening, finishing in 8:28.6min. Enjoying my rowing more than the treadmill recently, partly due to leg pain and partly motivated by my improvement in rowing times.  Still 29 seconds to take off before I rea...

Faster but less stamina...

According to Nike+, I'm running at a slightly faster average speed than other men my age (and also quite a bit faster than the average Nike+ user) but over significantly shorter distances. I guess I need to work on my stamina.

Gym Session 1 - best session ...

I spent an hour and a half in the gym this evening, escaping the two kids' bedtime routine and the one-shortly-on-its-way for a little while. Kept one eye on the TV on the gym wall which, probably like most TVs around the UK, was showing the Olympics. T...
