Yes I can!!!!!

I've just received my 'Congratulations you're in' magazine after entering the ballot for 4 years.

I'm so so pleased and just a wee bit scared

My family will be bored by it all by Christmas so I'll shove all my thoughts on here if that's OK?

Thanks for reading,

Wendy X

Blowing out the cobwebs.

No more odd dreams thank goodness. Just a few of questions and observation that occured to me during my 7.5 mile trot out this morning.(and a bit of a rant if I'm honest!) Firstly, where have all these suicidal badgers come from? I saw 3 of the poor cre...

I have never been so pleased to have to work on a Sunday! I did my long run yesterday as I was working today and luckily avoided the horrid weather. Saturday's run was 15 miles 'pace' and I had a go at the lucozade energy gels along the way. Three in al...

Embracing technology.......

This week I have been mostly embracing technology........... As the proud owner of a new Garmin forerunner 110 I now know where I've been, how long it took me and my pace along the way Before the Garmin, of course I knew where I'd been and roughly how f...

15 miles done!

Well I'm back. 15 miles completed and my legs are still attached!  I felt a bit nervous this morning for some reason, maybe because the miles are starting to add up a bit or because I've gained a few pounds and feel a bit sluggish, I'm not sure. Anyway,...

Well, the legs and new trainers both managed 13.1 miles on Sunday with no problems. As I ran I must admit it did feel like quite a way and it's had to believe that in a few short weeks I'll be (along with a few others!) running twice that. My knees feel...

Just keep running (and that's...

Well the inevitable has happened. I've caught a cold. I knew it was only a matter of time. I've been surrounded by germs for the last week, not helped by my employers policy of having 'return to work interveiws' with those who have had too many episodes...

Just keep running, just keep running......repeated in a kind of Dory style (for those of us that have seen Finding Nemo) My new mantra seems to be working. I did a 5 mile 'fast' run tonight, OK, not exactly fast but jolly quick for me  Initially I was n...
