Well, so much for my promise to update my blog after every run haha!! Best intentions and all that ;-)
Well, after my 7 miler on Monday, I managed a 5 miler (with hills) on Tuesday, then a fast 3.4 miler on Thursday...
THEN, I did 13.1 miles yesterday!! Took me 2 hours and 20 mins, am soooo chuffed :-) The magazines I've been reading say that you need to have done a half-marathon by end December, so I can put a big tick by that one haha
Was laying in bed this morning and I suddenly thought to myself: 'You know what, I'm gonna be able to do this!'
Where it seemed this unrealistic goal when I set it, it actually seems do-able now, I can actually SEE myself crossing the line, and IN ONE PIECE
I never thought I would feel as fit and empowered as I do now, but all this training etc has made me feel so strong and confident, and has made me understand that if you want to do something bad enough, and put in the work, anything is achievable...running really has changed me as a person, mentally and physically.
So, to anyone finding it hard to get motivated, grab those trainers, lace them up, and get yourself out the door! :-)
