Down..but not out...!

Posted on: 16 Nov 2009

Well, this week was much improved on the last. Started with a BMF session Monday and then excelled my self Tuesday by running a PB on my 5.5 miles route of 59 mins - I appreciate this isn't the seed of light but I was very excited with myself, as shown by my slightly outward whooping, much to the delight of those in the bus shelter watching me.

The next day I was a little sore and so I had a day off, but was out again Thursday with the fiance in tow, so nothing too fast ut put a little loop in at the end so just shy of 4 miles in about 40 mins. Now I should have really done something on Friday but I swapped my run for a bottle of wine....oops.

Made up for it by hauling myself to BMF on Saturday when it was throwing it down, there was about an inch of water lying on the park and we got put with the greens (very fit, scary group). It was without doubt the hardest BMF session I had ever had, so much sprint work which was brill for the fitness, but I did it and felt really great - even when walking home home laughing to myself about the fact I could not feel my legs and was walking, well, just oddly really. Needless to say I was sore yeaterday but was planning a little jog until I fell over. I fell down two steps, out of the pub (had only had a cup of coffee) and smack onto my knees on the pavement. Not sure which bit is more brusied ego or knees...not the ideal end to the week! Looking forward to getting another long run in tonight, brusied kness pending. Happy Training!
