So training's been on old for 10 days, due to other committments, stress of work & the hot weather. So back to club last night & managed just under 7 miles at a reaonable pace (9 min miles).
Don't feel too bad this morning; a little achy, but altogether not too bad. The run certainly cleared my head for an hour or so, & it was good to get back out there.
But it's only a couple of weeks until my first 1/2 marathon for over 20 years. And the nerves are setting in already. Do I increase my training? Should I ease off & hope that all the work I've been doing since February carries me through.
I'm not looking to break any records. infact, if I can complete it with a combination of running & occasional walking, that'll be goal 2 achieved.
