7 marathons done and am still running......
Hi all - I am updating my blog as I never set it up properly initially and set up new blogs rather than 'new posts'
I am very much looking forward to running the marathon on April 17th but am definately feeling a little bit scared now.
I have run 7 half marathons and a lot of 10ks etc. and now want to take on the serious challenge of running a marathon. I have found an inner strength in my training that I didn't think I had. I have also found a few great new things on the way as follows....
Product 1 - 1000 mile running socks...highly recommended....they guarantee to keep feet blister free. Have just ordered some from Amazon and a couple of my friends who are training for marathons are using them and say they are fantastic!
Product 2 - Lucozade recovery powder - great to help recovery after a run.
I am aiming for a finish time now of 4hrs 45 mins or under. I would love to run the marathon in 4hrs 30 mins but I'm not going to put too much pressure on myself.
I think the most difficult thing will be getting my pacing right - I am going to try just over 10 min miles
