About the Event
What is the Vitality Big Half?
Created by London Marathon Events Ltd, in partnership with Sported, The Vitality Big Half is a new one day festival centred around the half marathon distance, which aims to be truly global and uniquely local in a celebration of the wonderful cultural diversity of the great city of London.
On race day, up to 20,000 people will take park in events that include:
The Vitality Big Half - a half marathon starting at Tower Bridge and finishing in Greenwich, passing through Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Lewisham.
The Little Half - a fun, family friendly mass participation run for all ages and abilities.
The Big Relay - an event open exclusively to teams of four from the community groups from the host boroughs of Southwark, Lewisham, Tower Hamlets and Greenwich.
The Vitality Big Festival - a celebration of London’s diverse culture, food and music which will take place throughout the day in Greenwich Park.
Working with sports development charity, Sported, London Marathon Events aim to create a sport event for all Londoners and inspire entries from participants from all backgrounds so that the event mirrors the diverse demographics of London’s multicultural population.
