I find it difficult to ask people to donate towards my fundraising charity - do you have any suggestions on how to overcome this?
Be confident and don’t feel guilty about asking, see it more as an opportunity for them to help. You’ll find that the majority of people will be interested in what you are doing and want to know more about the cause you have chosen to raise funds for.
It’s also good to have some knowledge of where the funds are being spent too. For example, if you are able to let them know facts like $2,500 buys a kidney machine for children – this will put your fundraising into real context and will achieve better results.
