Should I change my diet while running?

Your running will certainly benefit if you consume a balanced, nutritious diet with enough calories to support your training and not too much ‘junk’ that provides empty calories without nutrients.

As a runner it’s important to remember that your diet doesn’t just affect your performance, it can also affect your recovery from training, your immune system and even your risk of injury.

I am 83-year-old female. I have not run for over 40 years and doubted I could. Today, at the right place/right time I was watching my great grandkids play football and had the urge to run and I did. I felt a euphoria and could just not come down. Should I keep trying?
