
I can't always do a scheduled session on the day it is scheduled. Is it ok if I do it on a different day?
Yes, definitely. A training schedule should never be set in stone and should be seen as an evolving plan based on how your body is feeling and your commitments outside of running. Physiologically your body certainly won’t know the difference between doing a training session on a Tuesday or a Wednesday for example. However if you do have to re-schedule a session, be mindful that you may have to adjust the remaining sessions that week to accommodate it. Don’t fall into the trap of doing hard sessions on consecutive days simply because you want to make up for lost time. You still need to ensure that you follow each session with adequate recovery.
