How do I know if I'm good enough to start a triathlon?
Triathlon is a mass participation sport that really caters for all abilities. You can often have professionals starting the race then all the way down to people who are not even sure if they can make the cut off time and relay athletes.
There are also thousands of races that will cater to all different levels of ability of varying distances. If you’re starting out try to find a short novice triathlon to test the water. Training should also give you a great idea if you can make it round the course.
Try to match the distance of the triathlon during your training week and see how it feels and so long as you can get round I’m sure you’ll be absolutely fine to finish a triathlon. Remember that the more you get in the more you’ll get out so if you want to be successful, get preparing hard!
