How long should I take between triathlon races?

I think the ideal time to take between races is five weeks. Then you have one week recovery, three weeks to consolidate your form or build your shape up, and another week to taper and get ready to race.

However, anything is possible, if you want to race back to back it can also work nicely, though you would need to have done lots of great training prior to this. Ironman racing is different though and deserves a little more respect. Two weeks completely off after the event is usually a smart move.
