How long should my cool down last at the end of my session?

Similar to your warm up, your cool down should take approximately 10 minutes and should consist of progressively lighter running which will safely return your blood pressure and heart rate to pre-exercise levels and also help limit any post-exercise soreness.

Always include flexibility exercises after your cool down, focusing upon the main muscles that you’ve used during your workout, which will similarly help reduce any stiffness the following day and also help prevent injury.
