Kidney beans and raisins make a deliciously sweet combination in a salad. Method

  1. Put the onion, olive oil and balsamic vinegar into a large bowl and stir together, add the carrot, tomatoes, raisins and pepper.

  2. Toss the vegetables in the dressing in the bowl. Add the kidney beans and mix well.

  3. Season to taste and serve.
