This autumn, we’re inviting companies and individuals to come together and take on One Special Challenge for SpecialEffect.

With ‘traditional’ One Special Day events like One Special Walk and One Special Match not possible due to COVID-19 and mass-participation races like the Great North Run and the Oxford Half Marathon having been postponed until next year, One Special Challenge gives you the opportunity to join forces with others in the community and be part of something BIG!

Oh and did we mention there are going to be medals? Shiny, limited edition, OSD medals for everyone who completes their personal challenge!

Here’s what you have to do:

1) Devise your own physical challenge – this can be ANY type of exercise, across ANY distance, over ANY duration, as long as it is completed within the months of September and October. Run a half marathon, organise a walking relay with colleagues or a team cycle with friends. The possibilities are endless, see for more inspiration.

2) Sign-up here (each individual taking part needs to submit their details so that everyone receives a medal)

3) Create a JustGiving page (either team or individual) linked to the One Special Day campaign and start fundraising!

Once you have registered, a representative from SpecialEffect will be in touch to help you set-up a donation page and provide advice on how to submit evidence of your completed challenge and claim your medal. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] Thank you so much for your support!

SpecialEffect is a UK based charity (Reg. No. 1121004):
