Most avid runners know the buzz of signing up for a major running event. Our charity places give you guaranteed entry to dozens of amazing events across the world and all you have to do is raise money for an amazing cause of your choosing.

One of the most amazing things about running events is that they bring people together in the name of health and charity. Whether you are running for a cause close to your heart or you just want to achieve the amazing milestone of a half marathon or full marathon, realbuzz is here to help you.

We work with global charities of all sizes and are proud to have facilitated over £1bn of fundraising since 2012. Proud but not content. Our goal is to increase that total every year and to help individuals like you improve your life and the lives of countless others through charity running.

How Does Running For Charity Work With realbuzz

Every event place that we offer is a charity entry. This means that you will be given a fundraising goal that you must reach to unlock your guaranteed entry. Here’s how it works.

One of the biggest concerns when it comes to charity places is not reaching your target. We understand that the target can initially seem daunting, but we are right by your side to make sure it’s not. We will offer you all the support that you need to raise the money.

However, if you fail to reach your 75% target by your deadline then worry not. We can defer your entry to the next year to give you more time to reach your goal or even move you to a different event if you wish (subject to availability).

With so many amazing events in amazing locations all across the world, choosing the perfect event for you can be extremely difficult. What can prove to be just as difficult as choosing the event you wish to take part in is getting a place in the event you choose. Until now.

Run for a Charity Partner

You can choose to run for one of our ‘run with realbuzz’ charity partners and support their vital work (with some incredible causes to choose from). With this option, the listed charity covers your entry package fee, and you’ll get a special finishers pack as a thank you. For a selection of our biggest events, we also work with additional official partner charities with set teams in the race that you can apply to join, find out more here.

Run for your Own Cause

In a selection of our partner events, you can run for a specific cause or charity that’s close to your heart even if they aren’t partnered with us. As they’re not a listed partner you’ll fund your entry package fee. We’ll support you all the way to reach your fundraising target and guarantee your entry. Look for the ‘Own Cause Place’ option.

No, the ‘run with realbuzz’ programme means realbuzz partners with charities in a way where there are no upfront cost commitments. A charity only pays for an event entry for a runner once they have reached the minimum fundraising target, ensuring the charity never loses out. For both our ‘run with realbuzz’ programme and any of our official charity programmes in association with events, the full amount raised goes to the charity, barring any platform fees associated with the fundraising platform used, and is separate from the entry package fee.
Your place is guaranteed once you reach your first fundraising milestone - you’ll see a minimum fundraising target for each event and you need to reach 75% of this target at least 30 days before registration officially closes for your chosen event. When you hit this milestone your unique entry code is issued and you can finalise your place. When you reserve your place, we’ll send you all the details about your fundraising milestones and we’ll be by your side the whole way to ensure you reach your goals.
If you don’t reach the fundraising target in time to finalise your place, you can choose to defer to the following year’s event (subject to availability) to give yourself more time to fundraise or you can run in a different realbuzz event. We’ll get in touch with you to discuss your options ahead of the registration deadline for your event and we’ll offer you ongoing support and guidance throughout your journey to help you reach your fundraising goals.
