Charity Partners
-
With over 20 years’ experience, we currently work with 3,000+ charities globally, connecting charities to runners and the endurance events they want to be part of.
We offer a range of services to suit charities of all sizes and dependent on how hands on you want to be with your supporter stewardship. From event packages which mean you can guarantee your team in the world’s most in-demand races and have full control of your supporter’s stewardship and fundraising targets (plus exclusive advertising presence across official event marketing channels!) to our free listing option – a fully managed programme with no upfront cost to your charity, perfect for those newer to event fundraising. We also provide a range of marketing and advertising options to help you reach cause-conscious runners.
-
This is a no upfront cost service, which means it’s free to be listed as a charity partner on our website enabling any runner, globally, to raise vital funds for you across a range of events.
Upon a runner registering to run one of our partner events we then work with the runner to support them to hit (and hopefully surpass) the fundraising target for the event. The charity only pays for the runner once they’ve reached the key fundraising milestone for the event, so there’s no risk, and you receive 100% of fundraising (less any platform fees for the fundraising platform used which is not associated with realbuzz).
-
Looking to secure places in races ahead of the crowds? For many of our events such as the Irish Life Dublin Marathon and the BMW Berlin-Marathon, we run a full or international Official Charity Programme, where charities can pre-purchase entries across one or multiple races. You recruit and steward your runners and we provide seamless runner management technology, event day activations and marketing services including an official website listing with the event. You receive 100% of fundraising (less any platform fees for the fundraising platform used which is not associated with realbuzz). Event packages mean you can guarantee your team in the world’s most in-demand races and have full control of your supporter’s stewardship and fundraising targets (plus exclusive advertising presence across official event marketing channels!)
-
Yes, you can choose to have pre-allocated teams in events but also recruit supporters across all our events via the Free Listing programme (formerly called the 'run with realbuzz' programme). This will mean you have two different services with realbuzz with associated terms and conditions you’ll need to agree to for each service. Contact the realbuzz Partnership Team by registering here. -
Because we exist to serve charities of all sizes, we offer a wide range of services to ensure that fundraising through endurance events is as accessible as possible.
We flex our services to the needs of our charities, from simple entry and marketing packages to a fully outsourced runner recruitment and stewardship service with no upfront costs (the Free Listing programme). Request to speak to our Partnerships Team today to discuss the best solution for you. -
When you purchase entries up front (event packages), your package comes with what’s called an ‘Official Listing’ which means you get website presence linked directly with the event – the listings are tiered depending on your package and in some cases include display advertising opportunities to bolster your exposure or other exposure through the event's marketing channels . Realbuzz also offers additional advertising and retail media packages to support your recruitment.
As part of the Free Listing programme, charities receive access to our Brand Hub with all the tools you need to promote your involvement to your current supporters and social media followers, plus realbuzz will offer campaigns across the year you can get involved with as well as marketing directly to runners to get them signed up on realbuzz.com, where they’ll have the option to select your charity as their preferred cause.
Runners

For the majority of our events you can sign up and reserve an entry straight away. Your place is guaranteed as long as you reach the minimum fundraising target and you'll receive details on how much you need to raise and by when straight to your inbox. Your minimum fundraising target is 75% of the total target and reaching this point is your first major fundraising milestone.
For some of our events, charities have teams that you can apply to join. It’s free to apply and your charity will get in touch to let you know if you’ve been accepted. They may require a deposit for you to reserve your place but they'll let you know directly.
For all events you can choose a cause close to your heart.
-
Across all our services, the full amount raised goes directly to the charity, barring any platform fees associated with the fundraising platform used to raise your fundraising, and is separate from any entry package fees.
-
Charity entries require you to fundraise so while you'll be able to reserve an entry your place is only guaranteed when you reach a certain level of fundraising. This will be communicated with you upfront so you know how much you'll need to raise.
If you've apply for a charity team, you'll be asked how much you plan to raise and a bit about your journey. Your chosen charity will vet your application and communicate with you directly about what you need to do to finalise your place and to support you.
If you reserve an entry directly through realbuzz , your place is guaranteed as soon as you reach the first fundraising milestone, which is 75% of the total fundraising target shown on the event information page. You need to reach this milestone by the date in your welcome email which is typically 2 - 3 months before your event and approximately 30 days before registration closes for your event.
When you reserve your place, we’ll send you all the details about your fundraising milestones and we’ll be by your side the whole way to ensure you reach your goals. Plus, your deposit is refundable once you reach the full fundraising target (100%). Please note if you applied for a team place, the deposit terms my differ. -
Once you’ve reached the agreed fundraising minimum, you will automatically be issued a unique entry code and /or link which you use to complete registration of your entry on the event's official website or platform. The code ensures your entry checkout on the official website is free of charge; please note that some add ons offered by your event may be charged but are not mandatory. These add ons and prices are not defined by realbuzz and are owned by your chosen event. If you happen to smash your fundraising target earlier than when registration opens for your event, you'll be notified as soon as codes become available.
-
If you've reserved an entry with us directly (using the sign up option), your place is only guaranteed if you reach the first fundraising milestones for the event (this is your minimum fundraising target and is 75% of the total fundraising target shown). At the point of hitting this fundraising milestone, you’ll be issued with an entry code which you can use to complete registration on your chosen event’s official website. If you don’t achieve this 75% milestone by the deadline your entry may need to be deferred or withdrawn.
If you've applied to and been accepted into a charity's official team, they'll agree a fundraising target with you and typically you will be required to hit this in order to secure your place and for them to issue your unique entry code.
Either way, realbuzz and / or your chosen charity will support you all the way with fundraising ideas and advice to help you to hit your goals and secure your entry.
-
You can choose to enter whichever events you wish and you can choose to fundraise for different charities per event. You should allow yourself ample time to train and fundraise when considering the logistics of entering multiple events. If you are fundraising for different charities, you will require a separate fundraising page per event.
-
In the case of being unable to run your event, your deposit is not refundable. If you have reserved an entry directly with realbuzz, your place can be deferred to a different, equivalent event (same distance) if there is a suitable one for your circumstances or deferred the same event for the following year, subject to availability. If you are not able to run due to medical circumstances, you may be asked to provide evidence from your doctor or practitioner. To discuss your options, contact our team at runner@realbuzz.com. You can also find our full refund policy here.
If you have been accepted onto an official charity team, your charity representative will discuss the options with you directly and different refund or deferral terms may apply.
-
If you have reserved an entry directly with realbuzz (using the 'sign up' option) you can see our full refund policy here. Your holding deposit is refundable as standard if you reach the full fundraising target, which can be found on the event information page and in your welcome email. There is also a fourteen day cooling off period.
If you have applied to and been accepted onto an official charity team, you will need to discuss your options with your charity directly.
-
Our partner events are events we work with directly to secure places for runners to run in support of our partner charities.
Affiliated or non-partner events are events we are affiliated with via partner charities. These charities work with us to promote entries in these events to runners like you. Non-partner events are vetted before they are advertised on realbuzz.com and must meet certain criteria of participation levels, safety and quality.
-
We advise you to allow the charity you have applied for a window of time to review your application and get in touch to let you know whether you’ve made it onto their team, before you sign up / reserve an entry. Charities will vet your application and have up to 4 weeks to respond to you, although they will likely be in touch much sooner than this, dependent on levels of demand. Your holding deposit when you sign up directly is only refundable for a period of 14 days after purchase (the ‘Cooling off period’) and thereafter is only refundable as per our refund policy, once you reach the full fundraising target, as started on the event information page and in your welcome email.
-
The most important next step after either being accepted onto a charity team or signing up for a place in one of our events is to set up your fundraising page and share your fundraiser as widely as possible to drive donations. Instructions and next steps will be included in your welcome and confirmation email or shared directly by your charity. Many of our charities have preferred fundraising platforms which will be linked directly in your welcome email - using their preferred platform means your donations will automatically go to the charity, via the platform, without any administration required from you.
Realbuzz does not handle any donation money and all fundraising goes directly to your charity but will support you with guidance and ideas throughout your fundraising journey to help you reach your target. -
Whether you've chosen to sign up and reserve an entry direct or you've applied to a charity team, it is always recommended to start fundraising as early as possible.
Fundraisers who set up a personalised page and share it early raise up to 18x more than those who don’t, Plus, securing a first donation – whether you ask for it from friends and family or add it yourself to get things rolling! – acts as a social proof point making others much more likely to donate too.
If you sign up / reserve an entry directly with realbuzz we will ask you to do the following as your first actions:
-
Set up your fundraising page and add it to your realbuzz account within 30 days of entry
-
Secure your first donation within 30 days of adding your page (to get you started with your fundraising)
As we get closer to your event, if your fundraising is not progressing, you'll hear from us to discuss your options and try to get you to that start line.

It is really important that you get in touch with us if you are having trouble setting up a page for your chosen charity. Contact us at runner@realbuzz.com to speak to our dedicated Runner Support Team. Connecting your page to the wrong charity can result in you not being able to redeem your entry or being unable to transfer funds. In some cases, if you live in a location not supported by the charity's preferred fundraising platform, we may need to offer an alternative suggestion for you to complete your fundraising.
-
The realbuzz account is completely free and simple to set up and this where you can manage your entry(s) and / or applications. The account will automatically be created for you when you sign up for an event or apply to a charity team. If you already have a realbuzz account, you'll simply be prompted to sign in. You can sign in here. Within your realbuzz account you can also access realbuzz Rewards - curated rewards especially for runners with exclusive discounts and finisher pack for charity fundraisers and finishers.
-
We welcome charities of all sizes and causes to partner with us. Charities can sign up here.
-
You can run any of our events as a team, subject to availability of places. Each runner simply reserves a place individually using the sign up option then you can set up your fundraiser with a joint fundraising target. In this case it doesn’t matter how much each individual raises as long as the total amount fundraised is equivalent to the required fundraising target associated with each entry combined. If you are running as a team, please let us know the names of those running in your team by emailing runner@realbuzz.com
SuperHalfs Series
-
Realbuzz is the Official Charity Programme Partner of the SuperHalfs Series - that means we provide charity entries in each of the SuperHalfs half marathon events: Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia Half. You can run one or multiple SuperHalfs events with realbuzz but with each event you will be required to fundraise for your chosen charity.
-
Unfortunately the SuperCharity Series entry is currently unavailable. The series entry allows you, for a £175 / €200 refundable holding deposit, to reserve entries across each event meaning you can complete the Series for charity. You have a combined fundraising target to reach across the six events and you are required to reach certain milestones in fundraising to 'unlock' each further event.
You can join the waitlist here.
-
If you already have a general entry place in one or more of the SuperHalfs events, we recommend that you secure the rest of your required entries via the individual charity entry route. You can reserve your entry directly here for the Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia Half Marathon events. You’ll have a fundraising target for each event. Currently the SuperCharity Series entry is unavailable.
-
Yes! Even if you already have your own place in a SuperHalfs event, our charity partners would love to have you on their fundraising teams. This is what’s called an ‘own place runner’. Your chosen charity will still provide you with all the support you need to fundraise. As you already have a place in an event, this won’t use up one of the charity’s limited guaranteed entries, meaning your charity can add even more runners to their fundraising team. You’ll see the option to apply to run as an ‘own place runner’ on the application forms here.
