All you have to do is raise money for an amazing cause of your choosing.

We work with global charities of all sizes and are proud to have facilitated over £1bn of fundraising over the last twenty years. Proud but not content. Our goal is to increase that total every year with your help.

How it works

Every event place that we offer is a charity entry. This means that you will be given a fundraising goal that you must reach to unlock your guaranteed entry. Here’s the three simple steps to running for charity with realbuzz: 

 

Choose your event

and the charity that you would like to run for. With so many amazing charities to choose from, you'll be able to support a cause that close to your heart. There's no finish line feeling like it.

You can sign up straight away

by choosing your charity and paying a refundable holding deposit. For some events, you can also apply to join a charity team instead. It’s free to apply, and the charity will be in touch to let you know if you’ve been accepted and whether a deposit is required.

Next stop, fundraising!

Once you're in, it’s time to start fundraising. We’ll drop your next steps into your inbox so you know when your major fundraising deadlines are. Your place is tied to your fundraising so you’ll need to reach the agreed fundraising target to lock it in.

Your charity run questions, answered

Whether you’re lacing up for your first race or returning for another year, we want you to feel prepared and inspired. Here you’ll find everything you need to know about joining, fundraising, and making an impact.

  • In some events, particularly where demand for places is very high, charities can secure a team up front. In these cases, you apply directly with the charity and they review your application. It’s completely free to do, you may just need to pay a deposit if you are accepted, that would be agreed with you in advance. Where a charity does not have a team but they are partnered with your chosen event, you can simply pay a refundable deposit, agree to the fundraising target and sign up there and then!
  • No, you can rest assured that the full amount raised goes to your chosen charity, (excluding any platform fees associated with the fundraising page or platform you use). When you sign up, there’ll be a suggested platform to use for your fundraising which means you can connect directly to your chosen charity which means your funds automatically reach your charity as you raise.
  • Your place is guaranteed once you reach the fundraising target for the event. Upon reaching this target, you’ll receive a unique entry code and / or link to finalise your registration on the event’s website.

    Where you reserve an individual entry with us, you’ll see that you have a major fundraising milestone you need to reach by a specific date. This is equivalent to 75% of the total target and this deadline is usually 2 - 3 months before your event date. When you hit this milestone your unique entry code is issued.

    If you’ve applied to join a charity’s team, they’ll let you know what they’d need you to raise.

    Either way, you’ll have full fundraising support to help you smash your goals and get to that start line.
  • If you don’t reach the fundraising target in time to finalise your place, there may be several different options available to you, including withdrawal or possible deferral to the following year’s event (subject to availability). Your charity or a member of the realbuzz Runner Support Team will get in touch with you to discuss your options ahead of the registration deadline for your event.
  • With so many amazing events in must-see locations all across the world, choosing the perfect event for you is a big decision. Our running events are broken down by distance and location to keep things simple. Likewise, if you have a specific charity in mind you can find them here and see what events you can run for them in.
