Will I ever be as fast as normal people?

Will I ever be as fast as normal people?
I'm going to do the Shakespeare Marathon in Stratford-on-Avon in April '09 (maybe, but I am not sure yet if I am 'fast' enough for them to let me do the 2nd half). I'm currently down in Australia until March '09 (where I seem to be running even slower than normal). I was always slow, and then in 2005 I had an awful accident, and I'm now 'blind' and disabled. I ran FLM '08 in 6:45. But there were some people behind me, I wasn't last! I will get faster (I hope!).

Not doing well on the running front at all.
Yesterday I tried to run at lunchtime at work, but the route I took had a wide verge, but not the path I assumed was there.
Then today I had no time at all.
Tomorrow I am going to try my nor...
Slower by a whole 2 minutes, over a 1h10 run. Admittedly, this time last year it was a 1h30 run.
Have I told you yet that if the London ballot place doesn't work for me, I'll do the Shakespeare instead? I'm definitely running a marathon next April...
I just did my hilly 4.27 mile run, at 11.5 min/mile. Slow by normal people's standards, but good for me, for that route. 1 1/2 min faster than I've ever done that before
Maybe I will manage to do the Cancer Research 10k in a couple of weeks in un...
I just did a 3 mile loop I haven't often done. I was slow by normal standards (and mine for other routes), 12.2 min/mile, but the last time I did that route I did it even slow. Not much, but...
I did my 2.88 mile run at 9.5 minutes a mile today. I am getting faster.
Now, I wonder if I can do that Cancer Research 10k this month in (just!) under an hour?
Ouch. I just did a 5.66 mile run, and I did it 5+ minutes faster than the fastest time i've managed before. I'm getting faster.
OK, I'm slow by normal people's standards (1
2 minute miles), but that's pretty good for me.
Now the...
Phew! I'm knackered!
I went to the track near here, and did 3x400m laps, of which the fastest was 2:04. Slow for normal people, but fast for slow old me. My previous ones were over 2:10. I'm pleased.
But knackered.
I just did the same route again, even slower today (but only slightly). At least it was me was out running (which there hasn't been much of lately!).
not had a very good week (just not had any time to run).
But I just did a 3-ish miler (which I don't normally try). Short, but hilly. 12min/mile. Slow for normal people, but not horrific for me. Not fast either, but... ;-)
Yesterday, I did the hilly 4.27 miler run to Esher, at 11.5 min/mile. Slow, but fast for me, for that route. It has a huge hill, and some off-path dirt path bits.
Today I want to go and do a few laps of the track. I went 2 weeks ago ...
I just did a 5.66 mile run, slow by normal people's standard, but the fastest I've ever done that route.
(I confess, I got up this morning, thinking 'If I go for a dump forst, I'll try that river run'. And I did both.
I'm not going to stop ru...
Not doing well at all.
Yesterday, I planned to run from the verruca lady's house back to work. But then I only found one shoe in my rucksack. :-( I have no idea where the other one went. Not in the changing rooms, where I'd put them in my bag.
...
Not been a very runny week (work etc.... Well, I should say 'retirement parties', but that stopped me running, then the hangover next day stopped me again...).
Yesterday I did 3x400m loops at the nearby track, and they were 9+ minute miles (*f...
Phew! I'm hot!
I just did my normal 2.88 mile run, in the heat of today. (I waited until the 'cool' of this evening)
I thought it was horribly slow (based on my time at the halfway point). When I first ran that route (after my accident, ...
Yuk. Had no time for a run this week. Work has been too busy to take a lunchtime run. I dunno, these students sit their exams and then expect *us* to mark them. Humfh,... and I won't manage any this weekend either (due to being sat in a car for hours, t...
Woo!
I just did the 2.88 miles route again in 9.5 min/mile again.
My daughter says: (She is 6, and loves smilies!)
I just did my 2.88 mile Walton run, in 9.66 minute miles I have definitely cracked that 10 minute barrier (I only broke through it for the first time post-accident a little over a month ago)
I've done very little running (my bum-type problems are really getting me down), but I did 2.5 miles on Thursday, and I really enjoyed it.
I don't think I'll ever run again.
This desperate need to take a dump when I run kicked in again tonight, even though I'd been to the loo less than an hour before.
Why is this such a problem for me?
Why doesn't the stuff the doctor gave...
I just did an unusual route, 3.22 miles (with a BIG hill!), and it was slow (12.5 min/mile), but I really enjoyed it (and Hooray! I didn't need to stop and dump! :-) )
I went out for a short run yesterday evening, but yet again, this trot business kicked in. I don't understand how I've been running for years and years, but it only started being an issue 2006 onwards, following on a bit after my accident in 2005 (but ...
I went for the half-hour route again today, but after just a few minutes I had to stop and walk (as quick as I could!) home to use the loo. :-(
This is often a serious problem for me (and was a major problem on parts of the marathon last month,...
Wow! I just did my 2.88 mile run into town, and I did it the 2nd fastest ever (well, since my accident!).
It was 9.4 min/mile (and my fastest ever was only a month ago!).
Yeah, I know >9 min/mile is not fast for 'normal' people, but f...
I don't know yet if I'll get a ballot place for FLM '09 (and I'm sure I wouldn't dare ask people again for charity sponsorship), but I might get in.
I was always slow, and then in 2005 I had an awful accident, and I'm now 'blind' and disabled....
