TRI-HARD IRONMAN 2.

Well after 13 marathons i have made the push and moved over to triathlon,been training running wise over 31 years but needed some new goals.Took up triathlon in 2008, doing few sprints and completing one half ironman.Had good year in 2009 doing half ironman and done the big one UK IRONMAN. I have also done Helvellyn tri down as one of the top ten toughest in the world.Sportive wise i have done all of the long hard ones in the uk including Fred Whitton challenge,Northern rock cyclone,Richmond cycle club sportives,Lakeland loop,Chemo classic to name a few.In 2012 my goals are,

Sunderland marathon,Newcastle marathon,steelman (Half Iron)cyclone gold standard,wrynose or bust,captain cook challenge,chemo classic and whatever else i can fit in.Please feel free to comment **** off my training methods but they work.Today at moment best London Marathon 3:09,half mara 1:26,10k 40 mins and Ironman 11:25.

LONG RUN.

Today was long run day so got weekend off to good start 18.5 miles ran in 2:45 nice easy pace of 8.59 min/mile and an average heart rate of 146 bpm well happy tomorrow looking at long bike ride if snow stays away here is hoping. Andaz.

Nice easy run today of just over 4 miles pace as i wanted sub 8.30 min/mile so easy effort of 73% max which was the plan,hoping for long run friday and long bike saturday if all goes to plan. Andaz.

Today was cracking day and i led a group of new cyclists out on a hilly ride of 51.55 miles on a hilly route with over 3000ft climbing.The ride was slow as wanted to keep everyone together and not put people off.The ride took 3:48 and pace was 13.5 mph ...

Managed lift to work the day and ran home not bad run 4.41 miles run in 34.44 mins good pace of 7.52 min/mile not bad with bag on back,working tomorrow but looking at long bike sunday. Andaz.

Today short bike session of 21.15 miles pretty good pace of 18.1 mph so ride was 70 mins.Tonight its tri club for pool session so good produtive day. Andaz.

BRICK SESS.

Easy day 10 mile bike at 17mph so time 34 mins followed by 7 mile run in 1hr 8.30 min/mile easy as.Looking at long bike on Sunday as got 63 mile sportive coming up just hope weather is bit better than present. Andaz.
