...the band, I mean, of course - not the continent that these sceptred isles belong to!
Well, if you had a love of slightly bouffant'd hair and light metal guitar riffs, you'll remember their biggest hit (sadly, if you pushed me, I could name at least one more!).
Yep, it's the final countdown. And it is.
I hope we're all getting excited, standing like grey (or orange!)hounds in the slips and all the rest of it. It's nearly time to bedeck ourselves in NASS colours and get out and run.
We had another amazing donation this morning from the legend that is Brian. Anyone whose boiled fruit cake can power Oggie round so much of Ireland's tarmac is a force to be reckoned with for sure. Brian - bvery generous indeed, and, like everyone's donations, I know that it will be put to good use by NASS.
Remember to let Vin know that you're running, and he will allocate a number.
Remember to tell him where you are runninf. Well, there are runs organised in many parts of the country. If you can't make one, it doesn't matter; chuck something orange on, let Vin know anyway, make a donation if you can, and run. Just run. Oh, and take a photo. We need a collage of all of the orange around the country.
Come on guys, it's the final push, the last week or so.
Can you hear that guitar solo in your head?....Can you remember the worst bit of rhyming of all time?
"We're heading for Venus (Venus), and still we stand tall
And maybe they've seen us (seen us)..."
Hopefully it won't haunt you all day.......
On a yard!
