Hills, Hills, Hills.....

Posted on: 20 Jan 2015

Luckily for me, I live in one of the most beautiful places in the UK (I'm biased but youknow, it's still amazing) I wake up every morning to views of the grand picturesque mountains - particularly at this time with the snowfall we've been having! But there is one big downfall to living here - HILLS.

God damn you hills. It doesn't matter where I go to run I will always end up running up a very steep hill to get home. It's tiring and sometimes puts me down as it becomes impossible to be able to run up them from time to time. There is no stretch close to home that is fairly flat for me to run, the London Mararthon is a pretty flat run so trying to find a route to emulate it.

So this is just a post to see how many other people live in a hilly area such as myself? Is hill training good for a lead up to a marathon? How have you found a way around this?
