A day off work is *not* a rest day!

I don't work on Mondays. In 2004, when Flumpette No.2 arrived, I dropped down to only working 3 days a week, as I was having to pay to go to work, as having both a toddler and a baby in nursery cost more than I earnt. Once they were at school, I went back to 4 days a week, but I have insisted on keeping Mondays off. I don't *need* the day off, but hey, I still want it!
Today, I decided to go for a swim. The pool is up by the river, too far to walk to, but hey, since I am 'blind', I get free bus travel. Hey, there are some benefits (like this, reduced train fares, and a cheap TV licence) to balance out the bad stuff (inability to drive, regularly bumping into people in crowded shops...).
When I got into the pool, I thought "Brrrrr!", but thankfully that eased off once I started splashing up and down. I originally planned to do twenty lengths, but then I thought "Well, I still have some time, before the bus home..." So I did 30 lengths, with no pause, and I overtook people a few times. OK, they were mainly elderly people (because normal-aged people are at work, unlike lazy old me). But I overtook some guy again and again (although they could well have been taking breaks, which might have caused some of the repeatability, but hey, the overtakings was halfway up a length, so I *was* swimming faster than them). OK, so they were probably a good 30 years older than me, but hey, don't forget that I'm 'blind' and disabled!
