Well I've been humbled by all the great work you lot are doing out there. As always there are some great miles being put in there for the forthcoming Autumn marathons and Snowdon is going to be so very special only wish I could be up there with you. Maybe next year !!!
So I've entered the Great West Run which is to be run in Exeter on the 19th Oct. So i've been trying to get both the miles in and regain some sort of pace. Oh why does it take so long to regain something that was so easy to lose.
This week I ran 5 miles on Monday evening trying to get quicker and quicker started at 7.55 and managed to get the last one down to 7.11. Tuesday had to get a speed session down during my lunch time at work managed a quick warm up and warm down with 10 fast 400m in between. Wednesday was a 6.5 miles through a local National trust estate nice run one that makes you think its all worth it 7.33 average. Blood doning on Thursday. Had to go out on my own yesterday afternoon for my long run and boy was it warm. Started off too quickly ran one of my regular routes in and around Plymouth Hoe and the Barbican very busy. Got to 10 miles relatively comfortably but really struggled with the last couple of miles and definately a case of paying for the quick start.
Been upto Okehampton, in the middle of Dartmoor today watching my son playing rugby. Good game and one which they were successful. Plenty of hills in that neck of the woods for all you Snowdon superstars.
Special mention to BOLTY what a brave , brave man and ulimate kegend hats off to you Sir total respect
